The Prague School of Photography (PFŠ) offers a range of study programs for adults (18+), allowing students to develop their skills, deepen their knowledge, and explore their creative potential in photography.

Semester Program – Photography Basics

The Semester Program is designed for beginners or anyone who wants to build a solid foundation in photography. It is also suitable for those considering further study at PFŠ.

• Duration: One semester (half a year), evening classes once a week

• Purpose:

  • Learn basic camera handling and photographic techniques

  • Understand exposure, composition, and lighting principles

  • Develop visual awareness and photographic language

  • Gain confidence for further creative growth

• Admission: Open to all; requires a completed application and payment of an administrative fee

• Environment: Interest-based, non-accredited, supportive, and interactive group learning

Block-Based Study – Flexible Photography Program

The Block-Based Study is PFŠ's main program for students who wish to study photography systematically and in depth.

• Format: Organized in educational blocks with compulsory and optional subjects

• Flexible Duration:

  • Students decide their own pace

  • Minimum completion time is one year

  • Suitable for those balancing study with work or other commitments

• Purpose:

  • Develop technical skills and artistic vision

  • Receive individual guidance and constructive feedback

  • Explore a wide range of photographic styles and methods

• Admission: All applicants are accepted; students are placed in appropriate groups based on submitted work to ensure balanced classes

• Environment: Interest-based, non-accredited, supportive, and collaborative
